Cooling water systems consist of the entirety of all components that are required to conduct heated cooling water to the recooling plant and to transport the cooled cooling water to the consumer (heat source). This includes, among other things, the water-treatment technology and the recooling plant including dry cooler, refrigeration unit and cooling tower. We offer plants for industrial use in all common industries. Our factory production under optimal conditions incl. factory testing guarantees optimal quality.

Modular cooling water system
The KWM modular cooling system offers a water flow rate of 2 to approx. 600 m³/h and a pressure rating of PN 10 - or as required. All components of the pump-tank station including the control cabinet with PLC and water-treatment technology are mounted on base frames, completely piped and wired internally. The recooling plant with cooling tower, refrigeration unit and dry cooler is designed separately.

Container cooling water system
The container RKW (recooling plant) series contains plants in container construction with a water throughput of 2 to approx. 600 m³/h. Pressure stage PN 10 or a value according to requirement is achieved. We supply the components of the pump-tank station, including the control cabinet with PLC and water-treatment technology, completely piped and wired internally and mounted in a unit container. The separately supplied recooling plant with dry cooler etc. can also be placed on the container roof.

Cooling water systems, site assembly
The RKW (recooling plant) series supplies a water throughput that starts at 30 m³/h and is open upwards - depending on the concept of the overall system. Pressure stage: PN 10 or as required. We bring all the parts needed for the cooling water system to the construction site. The container may also be provided on site, e.g., in concrete. MULTI Kühlsysteme will assemble the components and all plastic (PE, PVC), carbon steel, or stainless-steel pipes at the site. It will also deliver the entire switchgear and control system with PLC and site-related electrical installation.

Recooling plants: Questions & answers
A recooling plant is a device (component) that cools down cooling water that has become warm and thus returns it to its initial state. Together with other components of cooling water systems, they ensure that water already used for cooling can be reused to cool machines and processes. Use of such plants reduces energy consumption in production processes and thus operating costs in industrial companies.
Recooling plants within cooling water systems are used mostly in the industry, where they are used to recover water heated by cooling processes for machine cooling, process cooling, product cooling, liquid and food refrigeration.
In the area of machine cooling:
- tools,
- extruders,
- filling and packaging machines,
- hydraulics,
- motors,
- control cabinets,
- welding machines,
- soldering units, and
- lasers are cooled with recooled water.
Recooling plants are used in process cooling, among other things for cooling test stands, steel products, rolling mills and ice rinks. Recooling plants also noticeably reduce energy consumption and thus production costs in food refrigeration.

The heat generated during cooling processes is extracted from the water in a recooling plant using heat exchange. Dry coolers are used here in particular. They release the heat to the air in the environment and cool the water (again) after it has heated up through the cooling process (dry cooling). Evaporative cooling towers can also be used to cool water again in recooling plants (wet cooling). A further distinction is made here between open and closed cooling towers. Natural draft cooling towers are not used for recooling plants.
As a result, no other/new water is required for recooling. Instead, the water that has been recooled via dry coolers or cooling towers is transported back to the heat source via other components of the cooling water system. There it can be used again for cooling processes, products, machines, and tools. This leads to an energy-efficient cooling circuit that can significantly reduce operating costs in manufacturing companies.
Recooling plants are usually part of complete cooling water systems. Modular cooling water systems, container construction systems, and individual, site-mounted cooling water systems are distinguished. Dry coolers or evaporative cooling towers are used to recool the water within the recooling plant.
